Travelling can be an awesome experience when with your animal friends. But if you want to enjoy your travelling with your pets then you should require quite a bit of planning, else your memorable experience could be converted into a worst nightmare. Most people enjoy travelling with their favorite pets which for most of the families are cats or dogs. Travelling with cats or dogs either to a local park or to a far flung destination or even to a different country requires a through planning and arrangements.

If your cat or dog is not used to travelling then you should prepare them a month or so before travelling. Make sure you make them use to with travelling in cars by taking them to practice trips. This will certainly help them to understand the difficulties that they would com across during travelling, also it will make them feel more comfortable, less stressed out and less nervous, as they would not be unaware of different circumstances. Be sure to keep them in their respective pet cases of kennels as safety of your pets should be your first priority. Make sure that you tag your pets with ID.  Train your dogs and cats how to travel in cars so that they don’t imitate others by hanging their heads out of the window, so make sure that you open the windows just enough to let wind come in.

It is quite common for cats and dogs to have digestive problems and behavioral changes when they are stressed and nervous.  The new smells and sites can sometime prove to be just too much overwhelming for them. These nervous feelings of cats and dogs can be relaxed by getting them their favorite toys or anything they are used to.
